I've had this with loads of starview 2's
In fact I think I've a wardrobe with at least 5 of them in it, that and the constant rebooting seems to be a common problem with them

PLEASE DONT PM ME FOR KEYS!

So its buggered then?

Would it be possible that the part that receives the signal in is knacked and if so is it possible to buy one?

I've read a bit about this and never found my answer but I did find a company repairing them in the UK at one stage for £10 so there must be an easy fix.
Did you try JTag it?

Looking back at all your posts, you have never said who your provider is and your rough location?

Do you have a subbed box?

Hi Scouse,

My service provider is Telepest and I am in wigan (knowsley server), but I have had a SV2 attached to this connection before that worked fine and I am currently running a SV4 USB with no problems.

So what you are saying is that I should get rid of my current 2 - 3 pin power adapter and put the wires straight into a 3 pin plug?

I have cut the power lead and run it straight into a uk 3 pin plug but the problem still exists.
Would be greatly appreciated if someone can come up with a solution as I have bought this for a friend to save him money from the telepest thieves!

I think he was talking about the other rebooting problem I described.
I'd say your only hope is to try jtag it, I've tried reflashing my ones that were not finding any stations and the furthest I got was getting them to find some channels but it would find the same channel 20times.
Have you tried manually scanning?
