HELP LIte-ON flashing Nightmare using CK3

I need some help again ( last time i modded my friends benQ with your guys help) my cousin asked me if i could mod his xbox but he had got it in 08 and it had a lite on drive so i bought the ck3 connect kit and the probe ( his birthdays in may so i told him id do it as a birthday gift) so i connect the ck3 and the probe thing and use jungleflasher v1.55 everything goes smooth i extract the key then when i hit lite_on erase and accepted twice and turned the drive off and on using the ck3 switch; my computer froze ( didnt get status 0x72) and i had to reboot i had the key saved inquiry and dummy, just in case i tried to extract the key again just to make sure i got the key right but this time i got a corrupt serial error so i try to flash it again but this time when i powered on the CK3, SMOKE CAME OUT of it!!!! the CK3 is burned near the power supply ( i used a spare molex from my pc to power it)quickly i turned it off then i tried to power on the drive it was dead the xboxes green light just flickers like the tray is opening but it doesnt open or anything. I have the key inquiry and dummy ( which is what i am for messing around with this high tech stuff)I feel bad I messed up my lil cousins Xbox now his lite on drive is dead, i have a spare hitachi 47DJ ( i got off ebay) can i spoof it on to his motherboard with the key? it is already spoofed as a BenQ and recognized as that on my PC how can i restore it to original then put the dummy file from the lite on into it? Oh yeah the CK3 i dont know if it wrks and really i dont want to try it again I dont want my PC messing up too, how i get into these things ill never know maybe bad luck? I dont want to tell him hey ricky guess what? i messed up your xbox! oh yeah, happy birthday! If i cant fix it i guess ill have to buy him another one:( hope someone can help me get out of this mess.

It's not dead. Use l-o-eras in DOS to completely erase the lite-on and then use dosflash 1.7 to flash the hacked FW to it.

thanks man ill try it out today, im guessing it got corrupted. jungle flasher made the Lite_onCFW.bin so i just flash that onto it after i erase it in dos. the thing is ive never used dos is it the black screen with the white letters like a command prompt? Im not real tech wise. Oh and do I still need that CK3 junk to flash it?

i managed to spoof it onto the hitachi 47DJ and it plays original xbox 360 games, i guess ill just leave it like that or should i keep going and flash it with ixtreme i dont want to mess it up again. Actually i tried to flash the spoofed hitachi in jungleflasher but i got an error about the master checksum it said something like the hitachi had to be restored before the hacked firmware could be written ive never flashed
so what can i do now? do i flash the hitachi with hitachi ixtreme firmware or with liteon ixtreme firmware? I think im close to flashing it but justr need couple more steps

With a hitachi, you have to spoof and flash keys, then flash ixtreme. You're just 1 step away from having it modded.

i gave it another shot about an hour ago no cigar:( um ive been trying on jungle flasher the hitachi tab i have the spoofed firmware set as ixtreme 1.51 hitachi because when i click to flash the hitachi with hacked firmware it said cant find hacked files so i renamed the liteonhitachi spoof and put it into the firmware folder as the original hitachi 47 ixtreme1.51. On hitachi you have to restore it all to stock then just click the write ixtreme firmware, i made it work on the hitachi by just clicking

The lite-on that you attempted to flash is not bricked, I had the same problem after I hit erased it stop responding and my PC froze also, I than used iprep and bamm I had it, worked like a charm.

i used iprep before but with floppy discs my computer doesnt support booting off usb devices, i modded a benQ with it before but then after my computer got a virus and i lost everything had to do software restore from scratch i tried to download iprep again both versions and when i try to load a ixtreme firmware i always get an invalid firmaware message even when its 1.4 1.5 or 1.51 i click update and it says it cant with another message so i dont know why it doesnt recognize anything it could before the system restore. The lite on drive is corrupt but not dead then with the flickering green light? ill just give him my modded xbox for his birthday and keep the liteon spoofed hitachi until i figure out how to mod it ( If i do when i have time ) thanks for the help i appreciate it jungleflashers got alot of glitches its convenient sometimes not having to restart or work in DOS but when stuff goes bad its not as good as iprep ( too bad iprep isnt recognizing my ixtreme firmware though:( , thanks anyways guys appreciate it.

i will agree with the others the liteon is not bricked... you can't count how many people have come on here and thought they messed up the liteon... then posted a few days later and said they got it working...
it may take different hardware... i had the best luck with on-board sata using nvidia motherboard...
eventually you will get the liteon to erase properly and you can load the FW onto it ... the flashing lights are throwing you for a loop and you need to stop thinking gloom and doom with the drive.
