OK, I had my Wii soft-modded and the guy showed me that i had to use the gecko os he loaded to play games. he also showed me how to load NTSC & PAL games.

My real problem is that he wanted so much money for the games he offers. I have a few games that show up as an image file. Do i need to do something special to them? I was thinking these where .iso files ready to burn.

The one i burned at 1x speed showed up like a real game and locked up before the boot up process. I tried to force it in gecko a ntsc first but that failed also.

I was under the impression that I would be able to just get the files and then burn to dvd-r at a slow speed. I use imgburn as the burner.
Sorry for the noob question but i really widh i never meet this guy after he told me the price for the games. Thanks in advance EA

1X is way to slow.

Use IMGBurn and burn at 4X. Make sure you using good media (Verbatim and Tayio Yuden are most recommended).

An img file is in a sense an iso. You could actually rename the extension from .img to .iso and it wouldn't make a difference.

As for region force you only need to force it if your booting an import game.

EXAMPLE: (since you didn't say what region your Wii is I used both examples).

NTSC system PAL game then you need to force NTSC.

PAL system NTSC game then you need to force PAL.

Ok, thanks i'll try again. I use Verbatim disk and have a US system, which i was told was NTSC. Thanks will post results. VR EA
