wii speak usb mic compatibility?

There is a wii speak wad available out on the internet. This seems rather silly though considering that it is incompatible with any other mic/speaker other than the wiispeak mic, or is it???

Can you use other head sets perhaps with the wii speak channel?

There are those that want to stay at 3.2 firmware and will WiiBrickBlock or use an application to block the update of newer games.

Animal Crossing City Folk needs the WiiSpeak IOS WAD file installed in order for the game to boot (if the wad is not installed you will get a black screen).

So in order to play the game you either need to....

1) Install the full update on the disc which will update the wii menu firmware (which users that want to stay at 3.2 want to avoid).

OR

2) Install just the WiiSpeak IOS wad with WAD Manager which will install the IOS for the WiiSpeak hardware and not update the wii menu firmware.

So the purpose of the WAD is a work around for those that want to stay with the wii menu 3.2 firmware.
