Hi everyone,

I have flashed every drive apart from an Hitachi drive, I open a 360 I got today and it had an Hitachi drive in it.

I was doing some research, and jungle flashed is really unstable, I know it freezes up on my pc when I tried to flash my lite-on, but I just fixed it in dosflash.

I don't want to brick my Hitachi drive cause these drives don't have a second chance (with dosflash).

I am running a via 6421a card with removed drivers and portio32 installed.

Has anyone had any problems with jungleflasher while flashing an Hitachi drive?

It took me a couple tried but i have succesfully done multiple Hitachis using Jungle Flasher in windows XP and never bricked one. With all the backups in place its hard to screw up enough where a drive is permanently bricked.

i flashed a hitachi 76 in JF no problems. read erase and flash.
I think the only reason JF freezes is cause people do not uninstall the drivers correctly and installing port io and the usb drivers. and they JF team said you should unplug sata and reboot the ck3 when you are done and have to flash another or if you have to start over again.

I flashed my Hitachi 78 just this morning, i put it in mode b using slax, once in mode b you dont need to use the port i/o in jungle flasher, i just dumped the firmware and flashed using windows API, worked first time!!

JF has a button to put the drive into mode B built in so no need for slax.
if you use api then of course you dont need portio. its one or the other. if using a via card portio is the way to go

I could not get jungleflasher to recognise my drive using portio but it did once i used slax

Hi guys... could you help me please...

i can't unlock my hitachi79 with JF.

i already in mode b.
then i press the eject button twice to open the tray and put the unlock79 cd then press the eject button once to close the tray and tray stay close then i hit unlock79.
then the tray open & close automaticly and it failed.

here's the log :

Found 1 Com ports.
Found 4 Windows drives.
Found 2 CD/DVD drives.

Playing 79unlock Audio CD
Pausing 79unlock Audio CD, after 500ms
Ejecting 79unlock Audio CD
Setting bit 3 @ 0x5BO
Executing Code In Ram
Ram executing failed

i've tried so many times but i got the same result.
i'm really frustated now.

could someone help me please...?
