Hi all.

I've tried searching for help on this, but the fixes I seem to find are not for my particular problem.

I have a wii on version 3.3U and have managed to install the HBC via the TP hack (no modchip obviously).

I then followed this guide to get setup for playing backups http://www.instructables.com/id/S9RV0FWFN4H8OED/

Everything seemed to be going ok until I tried to install DVDx and could not find the correct IOS (249) that it was telling me to use.

So I went back to see if I did something wrong and tried the WAD installation again - it reads from the SD card and "patching custom IOS patches sucessfully, but the "Installing custom IOS" gets an error ticker (-2011). However, underneath it says SUCESS and that it was installed correctly.

I still cannot get the correct IOS selected in DVDx.....and it will not install otherwise.

My IOS in the menu on the HBC says I am on IOS36 v12.18.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Don't use DVDX for backups. Install cIOS37 Rev9 or 10. If you get an error on those use AnyTitle Deleter to delete IOS249 and then install.

You probably have the OCT 23rd 3.3 update on your system. This blocks WAD/cIOS files from being installed. This is more then likely why your getting the (-2011) error when trying to install the cIOS.

Also you do not need to install DVDx I have no idea why they have you do that step. It isn't needed for cIOS36_rev7 or Wiigater 0.3 Gamma.

Anyway to fix your issue go HERE and follow this guide.

Start at the OCT 23rd 3.3/3.4 FIX section. This will fix the limitation that the OCT 23rd update has placed on your system (just a reminder step 1 of the fix guide says to update to latest firmware. DO NOT UPDATE! Just skip step 1 under the Wii Fix section of the linked guide).

After you have followed that guide come back to the original guide I have linked above and follow the rest to install the Backup launcher.

Is there even a cIOS37_rev9?

Anyway the guide said to install cIOS36_rev7 but the OP said they get an error. This is more likley due to the OCT 23rd 3.3 update limitation since I would assume this was the first cIOS they tried to install.

I downloaded this: http://www.mediafire.com/?zyawztwy1no
And this: http://www.mediafire.com/?nzmmzmnz31j

After following the readme (first link, second link is the files), I got everything working. I'm running v. 3.4U via the Twilight Hack.

Thanks guys.

I have managed to downgrade to 3.2 and everything went fine with the guide.

I am not ripping a disc and hopefully this will work.

Thanks again.

Sorry, that should have read "Now ripping a disc" and not "not".
