The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has given a written statement speaking about the recent conviction of the four administrators of the infamous public torrent tracker The Pirate Bay, applauding the verdict. a job killer that rich.

those companies seek to hire the minimum amount of people as possible.
first chance they get they will lay people off. regardless of how many billions they make.

also the decision has not confirmed anything. the mpaa proved that piracy has little or no effect by showing off their record profits for the past 3 or so years. while "piracy" is suppose to increasing.

Do they ever stop to think that if actors and other celebrities weren't making tens of millions of dollars per year, the money saved could probably support jobs for about 1,000 times more people [than the actors and celebrities]?

No, your income is the greatest threat to the development and release of entertainment and media. No, you kill jobs by sacking people, cause you want more money.

Even if you lost 90% of your income to piracy you would still be filthy rich.

I had friend at school who use to say. "Every movie I copy is a fight and struggle against those greedy rich bastards who are making billions"

Pity he ended up getting a $60 000 fine for piracy
