Problem with XBC!!!

ok so i flashed my liteon... yay for me and i have some previous backups of other games that i have had for a while but didt do myself but now im trying the whole back up my games to leave the burnt ones out so the kids dont kill the originals... at $100 a pop i cant afford that so i splurged for a Samsung SH-D162D drive and flashed it with kreon all good so far but when i open XBC or schtrom neither of them work...schtrom says some weird thing about only being able to do xbox backups in this drive and xbc all the options are greyed out...now i know people might say search around and hey i have been but i cant find a single site that says anything so any help on my problem would be greatly appreciated!!

First off, change the topic. "Help me please" won't get you any attention. Why wouldn't you say "problem ripping" etc?

thanks for the tip game....


i have XBC 2.60 and schtrom 3.2 as far as i can find they are the newest ones... or am i really wrong? lol im probably looking like a right tool to you guys right now

Check xbins for the newest version of XBC. Its something like version 2.8. Google a search for auto xbins if your not familiar with mirc. This should take care of your problems. Let us know if it doesnt.

XBOX Back-up Creator v2.8 build 275 and Schtrom 4.0 can be found HERE under ISO Tools.

Having no game in the sammy or having xbc listing another drive in drop menu will cause your issue also

I use WinXP 32bit and both work great.

Not for sure. I haven't tried it out on a 64bit system. Only way to know is to go ahead and try it out.

Found this in the read me of XBC. Looks like you definitely need the 2.8 Build 275 version.

looks like it's working ok. having problems backing up "The Godfather" and "The Chronicle Of Riddick - Assault On Dark Athena". do you have any ideads why?
