Hi,

I just purchased a Starview The Box Super USB, and it will not pick up any channels on the search. I've flashed it to 1.07 and it's still the same.

I've not had a Virgin package before, but am plugging the box into a wall socket which is a standard female (I think?) TV style RF socket.
If I connect directly to the TV, I can pick up a number of channels, one is a Virgin logo suggesting I need to purchase a package, all are grainy though.

Could this be my lead is too long or dodgy? Or is it possible that I'm not picking anything up because Virgin haven't turned on the digital signal (can they do that?)

Thanks for any help!

its possible your cable is not fully connected you might need to ring them

if you have the 6/8 free channels like bbc utv etc your cable should be working

if not you are not connected

make sure you have the cable in the cable input on the box and try scanning on all the providers in the uk

Thanks for the reply, I have free channels on an analogue signal (direct into TV) but I don't pick up anything at all on the box.

I've tried all the providers without any luck, though I know my area is NTL...
It's definitely plugged into the cable input.

you need to be on digital signal as they only work on digital and not analogue

you would need to find out it will also not work on free to air aerial either

There's digital in the area, and I thought if I have the analogue signal coming through then I must have a live feed and it would work?

Do Virgin filter the signal somewhere before it reaches my house then?
