So I've modded my own Xbox and 2 others of friends and they have all been done successfully. All of them were LiteOns. My cousin got a 360 and I tore it down took out the LiteOn drive in his to mod it.

I use the CK3 kit with probe and ir has worked great until now. For some reason no matter what I try the USB port will not be detected anymore. I have all the drivers installed (PortIO32 and PL=2303 USB-to-Serial driver) and running XP 32-Bit.

I have tried both JungleFlasher v0.1.55 and Ck3tool 1.2.4

Neither can detect the USB anymore so I cannot dump the keys. Under Jungle Flasher I see the LiteOn properties on the correct IO Port.

I have tried restarting PC, reinstalling drivers, different USB ports and even reinstalled XP. Is this CK3 kit craped out? I've used it 3 times very gently and kept it in a safe place in mint condition, I don't understand?

Should I try the serial port on the CK3 V2 because the Mini USB port on it doesn't seem to be working?

I can pick up a Serial to USB cable for $20. Please someone give some insight, thanks.

That's what I had to do since my usb wasn't being recognized as a com port.

Also might want to make sure the spear/probe hasn't blown a fuse.

I don't think the Probe has a blown fuse the lights still come on.

But you are saying that I should buy a serial to USB cable and that should fix the problem? The mini USB on the CK3 V2 doesn't seem to be working but the Serial to USB should work? Asking because a cable is $20 from my computer store and I already ordered another CK3 V2.

Will JungleFlasher still recognize the Serial-to-USB cable as a comport?

Can anyone verify if the serial port on the CK3 will work if the Mini USB doesn't? I may be going to buy $35 Serial port for my PC and serial-to-serial cable.
