What is your onboard chipset? I believe with onboard you don't have to uninstall anything.

You shouldn't have to uninstall anything. Hook your drive up to the computer, load JF, and see if you can detect it. Also will need PortIO.

i ve read so much stuff over the past month that it is sick.have not been really playing any thing just stuck on this.the whole modding thing i guess i should have gotten the sata card .jungle flasher keeps locking up my comp.kinda getting on my nerves and i don't wanna get the card and have the same problem. any help would be greatful

so it said i need to turn my bios to legacy. but i don't have this option,and it says now to get a ide to sata cable,can't i just use something other than jungleflasher.i know there is few other out there just wondering.gonna go back to reading sorry for the in convience

sry if I missed this. But what brand drive are you trying to flash? have you tried each of your sata ports? did you install port io? do you have .net3.5? What version of windows are you running?

good idea. that makes things so much easier. when you get it, install it and drivers then go into device manager disable it go to windows/system32/drivers and rename VIAMRAID.SYS. that way you can easily rename it back if you ever do a hitachi and need to use winapi. then go back to device manager and enable then reboot.

the usb port is what you connect the CK3 or maximus (whichever one you bought) to the computer with. you either have to use the mini usb slot, or the serial cable connection. then you still use the sata cable from the lite-on drive to your pc as well. and the 4 pin molex power cable from the PC to the CK3 or maximus to power the drive.
