Hi
could anyone tell me how to flash a xbox 360 jasper for the first time.
or point me in the direction of a guide specifically for the jasper.

Jasper is a type of 360. It refers to which mobo, power supply, and chip size the console uses. But flashing it would be the same as any other console. Just depends on the drive that's in it.

I'm positive a Lite-ON DVD drive will be in the Jasper. You will need some additional hardware to get the key etc. and the a compatible chipset. Use the Jungle Flasher tutorial linked in my signature.

would it be possible to add a benq dvd drive to the jasper?
it is already flashed. but was to an old xbox 360 that got rrod

You still need to extract the Key, Inquiry, Identify, and Serial data from the Lite-ON. From then you could inject it into ix1.51 firmware for BenQ and it would work. But there would no point in doing that as you can flash ix1.51 to the Lite-ON.
