Thank you for taking the time to read my question! I recently purchased a Toshiba Laptop which I've used to "procure" games and have been successful at burning them on Sony and Verbatim DL discs to play on my flashed Xtreme 5.1 Xbox 360.
I have about 75 regular Xbox 360 games that I would now like to backup. I purchased the Samsung 162C drive preflashed with Kreon and put it in my desktop pc running Windows XP. I downloaded Xbox Backup Creator v.8 and already have Imgburn on my computer. I was able to extract the file after unlocking the drive, to an ISO. I copy the ISO to a portable drive which I then take over to my laptop which has the burner. When I burn the games, they show up on the Xbox Guide as being there, but when I go to play it, it gives me a "dirty disc" error message.
My question is, is there something else I need to do in order to make the ISO work? I've heard about SS Merger, DVD Mulleter and the like, do I need to use these? Am I following the right process? Am I missing something? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
IFAIK the Kreon drives makes a decent rip of the game so it should be stealthed already with no issues. I would suggest to run through ABGX anyway (Rather than DVD Mulleter or anything else) then burn with imgburn rather than Clane CD
Link to the ABXG tutorial is HERE Make sure you download version 1.01 or above for iExreme 1.51 the setup is nearly the same as per Moda's tutorial.
Why is everybody bashing CloneCD? It's the easiest program to burn backups with. No layerbreak, no booktype, no anything, just grab the .dvd file and let it burn. You can't even accidentally grab the .iso file because CloneCD doesn't recognize it.
On Xtreme 5.1 you don't need anything like agbx, that firmware loads up almost every game, stealth patched or not. I would recommend flashing it to iXtreme 1.51 though (if you plan on going onto live anyway), your firmware will give you a ban if you ever go online with it.
You write that you already have some experience with burning games. That's good, then I can assume you didn't do a wrong layer break and so on.
Have you maybe tried ripping the game again? Might be a broken .iso or the burn wasn't good. Also what media did you use for this burn, verbatim or sony? If you used sony, burn to a verbatim. Another issue could be the writing speed. Either too fast or too slow.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

imgburn does the same stuff man. the dvd file IS the layer break. so using the dvd file in imgburn or clonecd does the samething. and it will also alert you if you choose the iso file rather than the dvd file and then correct it by using the dvd file automatically. i installed imgburn and change NO settings at all. just choose the dvd file and it will work.
