Hello all. I just purchased an Elite 360 flashed with iXtreme 1.51. It has the new NXE updated dashboard so I'm able to rip games to my Hard Drive.

My question is, is it safe to rip a backup to your Hard Drive? The backups I use all check out with ABGX360, but I'm afraid that there might be something "iffy" and I might get banned fro XBOX Live.

Well, I just flashed my lite on last night with ixtreme 1.51 and I put mirrors edge on my harddrive via backup and i works just fine. I even downloaded an update for the game via xbox live and it still works like a charm. (Not banned yet, but I haven't even been "hacked" for a day)

good question, i wondered that myself. I just upgrade the dashboard but i don't have a harddrive but am getting one. I now know so thanks.

You still have to put a disc in the Xbox 360s drive in order to play the game. So whats the point of ripping it to the hard drive, if you still need the disc?

loads faster and doesnt have to load off disc so the life of your dvd drive will be longer

and because microsoft knows there are cheapskates who would rent the games and rip them to the drive, instead of buying the game.
