Wanted: Weapons of Fate - Security update? --To Creaky(or anyone else)

Not trying to get banned or anything. Or p!ss anyone off for that matter. But why close my thread with a link to that Wanted thread when NO WHERE in it does it say it is safe to apply the security update.
I know that the people were saying they downloaded the game and played it, but there is no reason for me to assume that they aren't playing on a PAL system or a NTSC-J system. I know for a fact that some updates are needed for NTSC-U systems when they aren't needed for PAL systems, my brother has one and we have came across games that I needed an update and he didn't, and vice versa.
So, to be fair, I don't think that a thread should be closed like that. I went ahead and applied the update and it is fine, but once again, seeing as the other thread didn't say anything about the update, I should have been able to atleast have the chance for someone to directly answer *my* question, thats what a forums for right?

Indeed i was a little confused myself as to why your thread was closed... and redirected to a thread that had almost nothing to do with yours.
However I have learned in my years as a lurker here (really havent had much to say until this point) and as an active member of many tech based forums
its not wise to piss off the mods for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup :P
Lol what i mean is the mods have a very difficult job and sometimes they misclassify something they to err as they are human and perhaps he made a mistake who knows?
bsome mods are just quick with the hammer...
Regardless I suggest diplomacy rather than question a moderators authority
cause right wrong or N/A a Mod can ban you faster than Baby spices fat ass can finish a biscuit

It was closed because it's considered rude plus it's against the forum rules to post multiple threads regarding the same topic.
Granted.. your question wasn't about gameplay, but it was still about Wanted. Obviously people in the other thread were playing the game, so that means they, just like you, would have had to apply all updates. Just because they didn't mention anything about it, why did you think it to be wrong to post your question there? You had a valid question about that game and it would have been answered a lot quicker than attempting to start multiple threads.

I try to be forward thinking, had directed you to that thread as i figured some of the posters in there might have an answer for you (just because there wasn't already an answer doesn't mean they don't actually know the answer, they're already subscribed to that one so you'd potentially get a quicker answer than your own thread would have got you).

I admit defeat when the war is lost, and this one is.
I had not thought about the fact that people were subscribed to that forum, just that the thread wasn't about the question I had. True the people in there would have had to install the update, but as I said, some updates are not needed on PAL that are needed on NTSC. That is why I didn't assume that it was alright.

I don't consider how easy a game is and if it is safe to play a backup of it online the same topic. But thats just me and it is about the game, never thought of it like that, so I will try and keep that in mind when i am needing a question answered.

I believe I was thanking you for the tip, or atleast I believe thats what "thanks for the tip" meant...
And I was saying that I tend to not think forward when it comes to things like that, but maybe I wasn't clear, basically I was saying thank you for giving me the tip that people are subscribed to that thread and I might get a quicker response, and thank you for being forward thinking where I was not.
I wasn't "moaning", I was asking a question, and then stating that I did what I interpreted the forum rules to mean, so I didn't believe I had done anything rude or wrong, but that you both had made good points.

I must not be good at the hide and seek games either because I looked back and only found one, lol. But once again thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind. Never really participated in a forum very much before, trying to now so i have a lot to learn...And I thought forums were simple!
