I have successfully burnt a few images via nero @ x4 on x8 memorex +r . But the shop i got them from does not sell memorex anymore. so i got some memorex x16 +r that are slightly different (ie not same packaging and obv 16x not 8x) these are not working. The game loads up and gets recognised then i get a black screen and told to eject. is there a list for compatable discs. also everyone says that burning slower is better but i can only burn @ x4 and x6 on the burners i have. I have searched for this in gogle but cannot find a solution/reason for this problem. Can anyone help.......?

Hi There,

Its recommended that you use DVD-R not DVD+R as they are not really compatible, also people recommend using the brand Verbatim and burning with ImgBurn at either 1x or 4x

Get yourself some Verbatim -R's... they're hands down the best I've come across.

If you have a lot of those Memorex's left you could try setting the booktype to DVD-ROM. Burning at 4x should be fine, don't worry about it. But you could try ImgBurn to see if 1x or 2x are options for your drive in that program? I know with my Nero I can only burn at 4x, but they work fine.

tried imgburn earlier (thnx 4 link) but first time it burnt @ x6 for some reason even though it said x2. and same happened. Second time tried in different drive @ x2 again but this time got to the white screen that says connect nunchuck and wrist thing, then got the black screen again but no error message. Have burnt this iso b4 and was fine on other discs (dvd+r mem) suppose i have to by verbatims (r they the safer option). are there any other factors such as the dvd burners themselves??
P.S. thnx for any help pre/post this message.......

The DVD burner could play a part, but it's most likely a media issue. I would definitely try the Verb's, they're the best! And did you set the booktype to dvd-rom? If you're using +R's you should really do that...
