Hey all first of thanks for the great site
I have a number of Questions
Trying to make a backup of Farscape Season 1 . I normaly use DVD Shrink and have had no problems up until now even with the latest version 3.17...but it wouldnt read the Farscape Disk's...hence I needed something else to enable me to back up so I got the DVD Decrypter 3.2.1.0

With my backups now I have the files listed below installed....and I cant just select the language I want (English) or compress the file to fit on one DVD-R why is this?
BUP File
IFO File
VOB File

Can I use DVD Shrink to fix these files?

Or what should I do?

Thanks for the advice and help

Hi there!

Use DVD Decrypter in File mode to rip all the files (for a full backup) into a VIDEO_TS folder on your harddrive.
Than open DVD Shrink and select "open file" instead of "open disc" and select the folder you just made. Then proceed as usual and you should have your backup in notime.

Hope this helps!

Every original DVD should contain a VIDEO_TS folder and also an empty AUDIO_TS folder (this one is not mandatory though). If the VIDEO_TS folder does not exist, the disc will most likely not play in standalone players and probably not on the computer either. You will be able play the movie by opening the VIDEO_TS.IFO file with a DVD player on your computer.

So all the .BUP, .IFO and .VOB files belong into a VIDEO_TS folder in order to have a fully functional DVD.

If I remember correctly DVD Shrink makes this folder automatically for you.

Hope you get it figured out.
