ok i know everybody post about this but i cant seem to find out and solutions for my problem.
my problem is that slax 2.1 wont read my 79 drive but my bios says its connect.

i never get the (spinning disc....) and my drive wont go in to mode b.

also the 2 wire trick wouldnt work either, do u have to use the resister to made b it.

any help would be great thank you mucho =D

I am not too knowledgeable on the Slax disc so I can't provide any input there.

As far as the two-wire trick, you don't have to use the resistor, it just significantly decreases the chance of you bricking your drive. Basically, it doesn't let enough power go through it to fry the drive, it will fry before the drive can. Atleast, it should. Thats why I said decreases and not eliminate.

I just modded one of these it's easiest using JungleFlasher and the tutorial that comes with it for any rev079 drive. I used the CK3 to power it, SATA 1 on my board sent mode-B it worked, refreshed and the drive showed up and did the double click to eject on my CK3. Then I just inserted the 79 Unlock Audio CD and it worked.
