Do people honestly care about their gamer score? I read on the web today people are glitching games to get achievements(gow2)... I'm kind of lost as to what the point of this is.
So do any of you guys actually care about your gamer scores, and if you do why? Especially if you like it enough to glitch for them, I don't get it, but maybe it's just me.

only time i care about my GS is when im in a contest against one of my friends on who can add the most points in a certain amount of time.
PS. mine is actually 6000 higher than what my sig states it is.

I only care about it a little bit. If I really cared about gamerscore, then I wouldn't be playing JRPGs. lol. That genre is a pain for getting achievement points. In Eternal Sonata, when I saw you only got 10G for clearing a chapter and another 10G for each party level increase (6 in total), I was like "that's it?! WTF!" lol. The 125 points per disc (4 discs for 500) for Lost Odyssey is at least more forgiving. I did play Uno until I got all my achievements though so it does matter to me to a certain extent. Achievements are a nice feature because they add replay value to a game. But I wouldn't glitch a game to get achievements or buy a game simply because it has easy achievements. That's screwed up. The King Kong game has easy achievements and it's apparently good but I still wouldn't get it because I'd rather play other games.

well i post here while im looking at loading screens, lol. that one was to easy. but i dont really play that often, just have had the same account since the spring 360s came out so ive had many years to build on it.

Achievements just add replay value to a game. Gamerscore I don't give a damn about really. Some people are just waaaay to OCD for that stuff which is kinda sad.

i'm not obsessed with gamerscore but i do like when the achievement bubble pops up while i'm playing a game.
the only games i've played differently just to get the gamerscore are halo 3 and civilization.
i'm working on the lego games but i swear lego star wars must take over 100 hours to get all the achievements.

I dont care too much. It adds a bit to the game and makes me want to keep playing sometimes if i am close to getting one. i dont go overboard and feel like i must get all 1000 points in a game, when i am done playing something then i am done i dont ever feel the need to go back and get 100% on anything.
If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

I like to get them, but I don't go out of my way to. If I have to get 1000 headshots in a prone position(definitely exaggerating on COD achievements) I will never even attempt it. Maybe if I look and see I have gotte 940 throughout gameplay I might try for the other 60, but other than that, if I can't do it within reasonable means while playing the game, I don't care.
I have one Gamertag with like over 9000 points but the one I play online only has 250 or something like that. Started a new GT while my brother had my HD(left it at his house 4 states away) and saved it on a memory card. Started playing online on COD4 and now I don't feel like getting everything unlocked and leveling up again with my old tag, so I just started using this new one.
I think it was a great idea and I like it, because it gives you a sense of accomplishment inside of the accomplishments of the game, like..mini-credits or something, and it does add replay value. Just not my thing I guess.

I love the achievement system. For me, it adds alot more replay value to most games.
I don't really care about my Gamerscore though, all my achievements are spread out over about four gamertags.
The whole purpose of achievements is to make games last longer and be more challenging, how challenging is glitching?
I will never understand glitching or using cheat codes. People pay $50+ for a game, then use a cheat to blast though it in 30 minutes. There's money well spent.

Seems a lot of people like it but don't care much about their score. I know a lot of people think score is everything, its kind of like a bank statement in the real world. Shows what your worth.
I like cheats on some games, but not for the story line. I HATE glitching though.
Prime example of cheats, all GTA games have a good story line and are extremely fun by themselves, but its just a lot of fun to put in a weapons cheat and start making some mayhem. Also fun to raise your star level all the way and see how long you can last.
It depends on the game, I think using a no damage cheat in a game because you can't make it through a level is bullsh!t but thats just me. And I do not agree with ANY cheats, glitches or otherwise, being used online. Its not fair to other players.
