-I just flashed my xbox using junlge flasher 1.55 Beta and iXtreme 1.51 firmware. I checked and made sure the firmware is ixtreme 1.51 on the drive.

-I burned my backup of guitar hero world tour using imgburn and I set the layer break to 1913760; used a verbatim dl disc and burned it at 2.4x.

-Checked the iso and the burned backup using abgx 360 and they are both clean.

-I put the game in my xbox and it wont play, just ticks for a bit and stops.

I have a hitachi 46 drive, dont know if that makes a difference. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Does it give the "Open Tray" error? If so, you might need to do a POT calibration to the laser. Google POT Calibration and the first one is a tutorial. Hitachi 46/47 are known for this issue. The laser isn't strong enough to read through the dye on the disc. You will need to increase the laser strength.

Thanks leerage, it was the POT calibration. Mine was at 3.97, lowered it down to 3.24 and it worked on the first try. However, my xbox decided to throw the 3 rings of death at me. I know they are not related, i guess thats what i get for trying to save money and buy a used xbox off of ebay. looks like i am going to have to buy a new one and wait three years to void my warranty.

Know any way to fix the RROD? Other than pay microsoft

Glad you got the laser calibrated but that sucks about the RRoD though. I have had it a couple of times and have been able to fix it. People would have their console for over 2 years and then come to me to get it modded. That solder must me really fragile over time and just even opening the case and probably cause it. There is a Ultimate RRoD thread here at AfterDawn. Just use the search bar to find it. But basically what you will be doing is removing the x-clamps and replacing them with washers and screws. I would also recommend replacing the thermal paste with Arctic Silver 5 as it keeps the temperature much cooler. After you get the screws in place you need to "bake" the gpu to warm up the solder and then you'll tighten down the gpu screws again. Goodluck!
