Can i flash hitachi using p5k asus motherboard

i have a hitachi 78 that i would like to flash using ixtreme 1.51, i already see a few videos to do it with jungleflasher.

i am using the asus p5k motheboard that has sata.
sata does not seem to detect the hitachi drive in windows vista but it is in the bios of the pc i am also using the CK3 pro.

drivers are already installed with the ck3 tool 1.2.4.

do i need another motherboard?
can i do it using usb?

no need for another motherboard just get the Via 6421 Pci - Sata card.
