There's no fix out yet... there's lots of talk of one coming out soon, but until I see it I won't believe it.

some people was successful some don't (brick)..so just wait for 3.0 and let it go for a week before grabbing..
The LU64fix there's a folder inside says "to SD" just grab that and put in in the root of the SD card. But still you need the homebrew channel and TP hack before using the LU64 fix. This also tide up which firmware you have.

just download and extract the files and put in your SD, again you will not be able to used the files since you don't even have TP hack and homebrew.
do this first as a starting point:

i got a lu64 console can i still do that guide?
i put the stuff on my sd and it is showing up on wii sd card. Now what?

You can't do that guide until you do the fix.

There should be a readme.txt included.
It says this:
IMPORTANT: NEVER DOWNGRADE YOUR LU64 WII!! IT WILL BRICK!! DO NOT USE CIOSCORP OR IT WILL BRICK!!
1) Copy contents of LU64fix.rar to SD card.
2) Install IOS16 with Wad Manager
3) Run Custom Wad Manager and use this to install LU64.wad
4) Restart the Wii
5) Run LU64CIOS and select 'Network Install' only. Wad install DOES NOT WORK!
6) Restart Wii
7) Done! You are now free to install DVD/USB backup loaders, NOT CIOSCORP!! and you can update to 4 if you like but NEVER DOWNGRADE!!
DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER CIOS AT THIS TIME! YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE R11 WHEN IT IS READY AND CONFIRMED SAFE

You would have to do the LUG64 fix before you are free to install DVD/USB backup loaders, but NOT CIOSCORP according to the readme.

k so delete the tp hack? ANd only put the fix files on there? IF so what files im just new to it. Im sure its very simple just sometimes lil stuff confuses me. I have all the files dl already just need to know where and how to put them on the sd card so the wii can read it.

Maybe I jumped the wagon here. I wasn't even thinking you have no way to install wad files etc.
Just follow what fiber32 said above following larrylje guide.
He has a picture in the guide showing how to place the files on an SD card.
Basically the root of your SD card is when you explore the drive your card is on in the comuter.
Say mine is F:, so I click F: and click explore or open. That is the "root" of your SD card.
Then do the fix after.

k i did the tp hack and changed the bin file. I tried to install it after i loaded the hack. I loaded the game and wow my character was maxed right out. I talked to a guy and went to a black screen looked like it was going to install then said this. added notes i clicked the second save as my zelda is ao -2
boot. dol not found (-1)
star cluster = 0003
failed to read boot .elf (-1) no code found hanging

base on the error the Wii TP hack not able to find the DOL, the DOL should be in the root of the SD , look on the item 3 figure how it should look like if viewing the SD card using explorer.

i dont have a dol on m sd card . Im looking at it now. THe only thin i got is private/wii/title/rzde/data 101 kb bin file. THis is all thats on my mem card
Update##
so know i went back and dl the files with dol. usb loader and wad folders. THis is for the 3.4 firmware. ILl try it again when i get back so whast on my sd card now is my:
private folder ( my tp save)
apps
wad
usb loader and the boot one
i got the lu64 after i install it then what do i do?
ty again for ur help
i dont want to go to far with my steps cause of the lu64. I dunno at which step to do the fix.

Once the homebrew channel is installed, you can then do the fix.
After that using the custom wad manager in the LU64 apps you can install the LU64 fix.
Then you can install the wiigator 3 backup launcher or usb loader
Just make sure to follow the readme in the LU64 fix.
There is a topic already started here if you need more info or help.

k i am having problems. I installed ios16.wad first then lu64 .wad second just like the guide said and now when i tryed to install the lu64 im getting a error

k i fixed the error. Now im at step 5 on the lu64 for network do i have to hook it up to the internet? I loaded it and the music played etc then my wii auto restarted. Didi it work? How do i know it it did?
i went back to do it again to fig out whats wrong and now it didnt reset my wii i got a error (ret = -116) press any button to reset

More then likely you have the option for WAD or Network install.
Make sure your WiFi connection is set up for the Wii to access the Internet.
Then run LU64CIOS (The default option is probably set to WAD Install). You need to press right on the D-PAD of the WiiMote and change it to Network Install.

It will say there is an update after you set it up but it will not install it automatically. Don't accept the update.

Go HERE and follow this guide.
Start at Installing WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 Gamma section. DO NOT INSTALL THE INCLUDED CIOS! You already have a specific cIOS for your LU64 unit. Just install the WiiGator Channel WAD and skip the cIOS36_rev10 install part.
You should now be able to boot Wii games through the WiiGator Channel.
You will need to download Emulators to get N64/nes/snes etc. etc. games working.
Also I have no idea if the cMIOS for GameCube support is safe on LU64 units. You might want to get that confirmed before installing it for GameCube support.
