Hi Guys,
My sisters daughter has tried to run a back up on her Wii using the Origional Launcher.
She was told to use back up launcher but never and after running the back up in the origonal channel the wii just has a black screen with a message sayin an error has ocured Press the eject button... blah blah blah.....
She powered off everything and when she puts it back on its the same.
I dont believe this.. False alarm they had the back up in the wrong way round and trying to run it in the disc channel..Its harder to diagnose over the phone with kids!!!
Sorry about this post.....

Don't worry about it. It's not worth it.
I don't believe that running backups using the disc channel will brick the Wii, UNLESS one accidentally do a disc update that belongs to another region. I don't know what "homebre" does, but if you want to be safe, look into installing "Preloader" to block disc updates and will help much if the Wii is bricked.
I had my niece & sister on the phone all upset saying the wii was broken with a black screen and error message and it was hard to diagnose on the phone, all they knew was they ran a back up in the disc channell and this happened..
So I came here and searched on the error and came up with disc read problem posts and clean the lens posts...
So I was a bit stumped and wondered what had happened..
Anyways it was a silly error but what do you do....
On reflection I now asume that this message is probaly?? Disc or lens based error messages but never having had any error messages on my own Wii I didnt know.
