I have been trying and trying and can't get the blue ray back together right. I have search, seen videos, etc. and none explain the problem I have. My problem is the two gray pieces up front block the disc from going in. My other issue is when I put it back together the top pieces on the top cover seem to not line up right. Anyone have a tip for me?
theres a you tube video i belive if you search under ps3 wont eject, he does a nice breakdown of the drive dissasembly and reasembly I havent figured out how to reset the two gray things that are stuck up in the front that block the disc from being inserted thats where I m at on mine that video shows how you have to open the two white half moon looking things on top and I had to use a bobby pin to hold the little white arm thats free moving its hard to explain that video helps alot search for it and let me know if you figure out how to get those guards up front to go down

Cool thanks man. Now I have to figure out how ot get the red and black wire plugged back in. The connect is in the blu-ray and the wires are off the connector. Is this possible?
gameover9, are the black and red wires going from the blue ray drive to the side of the controller board? On the controller board theres a small female adapter connected to the board on the left side about 3/4 way down (theres a larger connector clip above it on the same side). Its possible the clip is still in there and the wires just seperated when you dismantled. If thats the case, you need to carefully remove that tiny piece, it pulls out, and dont lose it on the floor as I did.If thats the issue post reply. I have an idea to get that fixed for you.
