I know I have no warranty its been a while since we bought it. So what are my options?

It was working one day then the next no lights no nothing. I have unplugged it and retried but no lights no nothing. Its just dead.

You think it might be the power supply? My oldest son has a friend that has a Wii and we can try his power supply. BUT if that isnt it, am I out all this money I have invested?

Never thought I would make a post about a Nin console breaking down, but its happened..

My guess is that the power supply is the most likely issue. Most similar problems I've heard of are caused by power surges.

The problem could also occur though if you have a modchip and it shorts something out, blowing a fuse. This is more common with wii-clipped modchips. If you fix the short and ID the blown fuse you can bridge it with some solder to fix the problem.

If all else fails, I'm halfway though my own repair issue with nintendo. The whole process is fairly painless and reasonably priced even out of warranty.
