Wii USB Loader Big Problem!

I installed USB Loader v 1.5 and cIOS 36 on my wii, and I formatted my 8gb usb flash drive to wbsf, however, when I put mario kart wii on the flash drive via WBSF manager, and inserted it into my wii, I ran into a problem that I couldn't find a solution for. USB loader recognized the game ISO and I booted it up. The screen comes up that tells about wearing the wrist band and such, normally. However, after that initial screen, all I see is black. No sound or video. I tried to boot up a diffrent copy of mario kart wii by dumping the game from the original game that I bought, but the same thing happened. I also tried Super smash bros brawl, but this time, I didn't even get the first screen, all I get is black. Please, if someone knows what is going on, help me!

Have you tried a different flash drive? Could be a compatibility issue.
I tried using a mini-sd card with adapter at first. It would format and rip but not play. I got the same issue as you.
So try a different USB device.
Also what revision of cIOS36 did you install?

I'm using rev 9. I wonder if maybe it was becasue I installed cIOS incorrectly? I installed using the network, not using the WAD method. Could this make a difference? Also, what usb flash drives are compatible? I'm using a 8gb pen drive.

cIOS36_rev9 is fine and network install is fine also.
More then likely it is a compatibility issue. Try a different USB device.

Rev9 should work i have both game running fine on my USB drive (not thumb drive), in either 3.2u and 4.0u, or this can be an issue with your thumb drive.
what firmware you have?

I'm using firmware 3.2U.
What kind of flash drive should I get? I know it should be 8gb, but what brand will work?

It can be any size as long as a Wii game can fit onto it and it is compatible. I don't know of any list that list compatible USB devices you can use.
I use a Maxtor one touch 4 500GB USB drive and have no issues.
I used a PNY Attache II 8GB before my USB HDD and that worked as well.

I actually think I found a list of compatible USB devices. Unfortunately the WiKi has been down for a day or so and hasn't come back up yet. So you will have to keep checking to see if the site is up.

I got a new flash drive, and it worked! the game booted up no problem. The brand that I bought was called Attache.

install cios-38 rev13 and install hermes cios 222/223
it will works fine .i hav the same problem with out cios 222/223 .olny for usb- loader mostly boot from cios249 cause such problem.try to install hermes cios 222/223
(important notes : korean region changed wii,s plz dont install Bootmii)
