Okay i did a search and again could'nt find anything on this other than "Verbs are best"
While that may be true (i am down to my last 3 verbs!!) i am interested in trying different types of media before i go out and buy another 30 quids worth of discs to burn my backups to!!
Someone said Aone DL media was good, but i read those are faked RICOHJPND01, is this true? and if so where can i get the real RICOHJPND01.
I also read mixed reviews on Ritek discs, again whats true and whats not?
Is there a chart somewhere i can compare dual layer media?
And lastly, if i chose to risk it and try the Aone, would my Liteon DH-20A4P be capable of burning these discs well? or any other dl media you guys recommend?

Sorry for all the questions, just wanna get this sorted, even if it means buying Verbs in the end!!

Thanks :)

Just stick with Verbs. Even though you wish for a detailed answer, all you will be doing is wasting time and money. Go with Verbs. I've never had a laser burn out with them either.

Yup. Stick to what PS2Menace says. Buy Verbatims (Made in Singapore). Yes, there are a bit pricey, but in the long run, it will save you from "coastering" and the life of your laser.

As much as i appreciate both your inputs i guess i am looking more for people who have had experience with other media, but i do value your opinions, please don't think i don't :)
Basically i have been reading that Aone and Arita DL media seems to be good for 360 discs as long as you have the right burner, any thoughts on this?

Whatever you do, don't get Memorex.
I personally don't like Sony, but that's because their single layer media are crap.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

The type of burner does not matter. The reason these guys including myself say get verbs is because they are the best period. Everything else will kill your laser really fast, then you will end up paying more to fix that then you would if you bought verb discs.
If you are going to use something else, then i recommend that you install the games onto the hd to minimize the use of the laser.

Actually the burner does matter. Some burners will not burn certain brands of media at all and constantly give errors on others.

Honestly it seems like you have to find the right individual brand for you if you want to use something other than Verbs. Verbs are the only ones know to work with all burners and xboxes. I personally went through 5 or 6 brands before I found one that works good for me. Cant find a good source for verbs other than online so I started going through local brands until I found the one for me.

Perhaps you should state how well they work instead of just saying what you use.
