well ive flashed my xbox360 3 times ill go thru the prosses ive goan thru:
first i take aper xbox
next hook the cd drive up to my computer using a sata cable and xbox for power
next i put it into mode b with slax cd
my computer reads the drive i un lock it using 79 unlock key cd
play the track once and stop it on the next one
then i go and run Maximum Firmware Toolbox 4.8
then i flah back to orignal fw
then run smart hack patcher
then i flash the xbox to hacked fw
hook it all back up
then i burn a game using imgburn
but the xbox wont read the disk and ive tryed 2 diffrent games
but to no aval

the drive is a 79fl
ive read ahole lot of diffrent tuts eney help would br grate and if you need to know eney thing else just let me kno :)

Use Jungle Flasher. With JF you don't have to use Slax and everything is built in. All you have to do is insert the 79 CD and click the 79 Unlock. Eject the disc when it says done and then you want to click the little bubble that says "Flash iXtreme". JF will do the rest for you at that point. I would recommend using WinAPI to flash the drive with your compatible SATA chipset.

I guess if you don't care about Live, go ahead and use that firmware. But if you plan on using Live, you should flash your drive with iXtreme 1.51. Only comes in 12x.

ix 1.4 wont play wave 3 games so tell us what game you are trying to burn and play that will not work.

Sorry to the OP and stealthdf. I skimmed through the OP's problem and didn't realize he had already flashed the firmware.

Is it giving you the "open tray" error?

halo wars is wave 3 so that wont play on 1.4 codwaw should play though. are you checking your iso file with abgx. maybe the dvd file has anincorrect layerbreak in it,if so abgs will repair it as well as the iso. www.abgx360.net

WinAPI is a built in function of JF. The other option is over PortIO in JF.

well i followed the jf tut and i flashed the drive and still no luck on getting the disks to work
im using sony dvd+rdl 8.5 gb
