I was just reading about the rumour that MS might be announcing a motion sensing camera at E3 this year.
They say it is capable of sensing your movements with only a camera and no actual controller. Here is the actual article incase you haven't already heard about this and want the full story.
Everyone on the comments section in the link seems to hate the idea, but they all seem like PS3/Wii fanboys. I was wondering what actual 360 gamers think about this concept coming to the 360.
I think it will be awesome if this rumour turns out to be true. As long as they make games specifically for it and don't mess up current franchises trying to force it into every game.
What are your opinions on this, and what kinds of games would you be interested in playing?

sounds to me like MS is trying to be like nintendo and get more of the "casual gamer" market. first they stole their avatar idea, and now they want us flailing around in front of t.v.'s.

Not to mention how ps3 stole the internet browser.
I really hope this doesn't happen... the wii is fun, but after 20 mins and regular play you body starts to ache. There really isnt alot of skill involved in the wii, so if this is released on 360, there will be even more 8 y/o playing live... and nobody wants that (no offence, but they can get really annoying, especially when they tk you)
This originally came from the PS2 with their eye toy camera, not the Wii. I don't really have an oppinion on that idea because party games were never part of my favourites, but it could be interesting. I am neither pro nor contra.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
im not a wii fan at all...quite the opposite. but from what i have read the 360 motion control is going to way better than the wii. you dont have to hold anything in your hands at allfor it to track movement. the claim is it will track very precise as it doesnt just have a camera but motion sensing and such with sound incorporated. and people in the background dont interfere with the person playing which i found interesting. "The add-on will also apparently recognize "hand gestures like pinching, grabbing, and scrolling"
now that is what i call precise if they can track your moves that good.

hello minority report minus the clunky glove
OMG! I love this movie! This technology is getting there!

The camera would be quite good if it works as described, but i reckon you will have to stand extremely close to the camera for it not to pickup background interference. And what about if you're playing a gun game w/o a controller... will you have to make a gun figure with your fingers? It would be good for little kids, but i doubt it will catch on with hardcore gamers.
Also, are you going to be able to use this online... i suppose it wouldn't be fair if it was camera vs controller.
i like the concept of it but i think it will take till next gen for it to really hit its stride. wii claimed that the motion controls were 'so accurate and real time' but that was compared to what was out there --> nothing. i played zelda on the wii (awesome) and it does pick up your motions correctly but there is lag which gets a little annoying. probably wouldn't be noticed by a casual gamer though.
i hope they do come out with it cause all technology has to start somewhere and i'd like ms to have this gen to play with the 'motion control' before they try and release it next generation when sony and nintendo have already messed with the technology for the past however many years. [/run-on sentence]
