i recently went to china and bought a couple of games there
they were obviously burnt but when i ran them through abgx it said that the disc was not a dvd dl or the drive was going bonkers
i checked them on my xbox and they worked perfect but do any of you guys think its safe to lay them on live??

not sure i would use them on live tbh as you cant veryfy the the disc are stealth patch correctly

If you have a Kreon or 0800 drive you can copy them with XBOX Backup Creator, make an iso, and then check them with ABGX.

i checked them through abgx and it all said they were patched
i was just wondering since the discs arent dual layer they will be safe to pay on live?

i cant say for sure but i dont think playing on live is a good idea. i have never come across a 360 game that is under 5gb in size and could be burned on a single layer disc. they must have ripped the padding.
which games are they?
