This morning I woke up to find the power light off on my wii, and my wii was unable to turn on. Last night I played a game, PES 09, and received a message about turning WiiConnect on - so I did, and now I have this problem. I am a newbie, and I have no idea if this situation relates to the no power issue. I did unplug the wii for a while and try a different outlet I knew to be working, and still no dice.
Some background and info that may be helpful:
I have a D2Pro9 with clip. Several weeks ago I installed the homebrew channel with the intention of installing some IOS's that I needed. Instead of installing them, I ran the update through an NTSC PES 09 burned disc. The game played fine for one week, but it kept giving me a message to turn my WiiConnect on. Last night I turned WiiConnect on , played one game, and went to bed. Now, this morning...no power.
If you have a DC power meter you should be able to check if the Wii power suppy has power coming out, just to eliminate the power supply or if you have friends borrow their wii power supply, it could be just a coincidence that the power supply is dead.
When you power on the Wii you are using the power botton (Wii) not the Wii remote.
