I've read quite a bit of forums and tutorials explaining how to flash my drive to read backup games. all of which contradict each other and offer links to programs that are out-dated. If anyone can help or offer advice to where i can go to get help i would greatly appreciate it.

I know that i have a Phillips/BenQ drive, Nvidia Serial ATA chipset, and i'm running on a Vista 64 bit OS. Ive heard rumors that you can use 32 bit vista w/ a program to read the drive, but not 64 bit. other then this, i am not sure what to do next

first step is to figure out what kinda DVD drive is inside your xbox... theres lots of info on the net about how to do this.

I've posted already the type of drive I have. It is a BenQ drive. the only post I see in the sticky is how to flash a Hitachi, which isnt what I'm am looking for.

Read the jungle flasher tutorial. It will tell/show you how to flash your benq. Just google jungle flasher 1.59 and download the program; the tutorial is within the program.
