Hay I am using nero to backup my dvd's and I am wondering if anyone knows any xbox apps that will let me play them. I tried xbmp 2.4 but no luck. If not what would be the easiest way to convert them to avi without balloning the file size?

get a program called auto-gordoian knot it will convert dvd to avi. it takes 3-4 hours but it looks great. try afterdawn.com and dvdrhelp.com

You might trying using "region Free DVD".. Not sure of the actual program name, as it comes with Slayers Auto installer. But it will allow you to play your DVD's in your Xbox.. Though if you are talking about backing them up onto the HDD and playing them from there, you will probably need to rip it to AVI like mentioned above.
