I have a retail seagate 20g hard drive. i tried to load a game save on to it with xplorer360 but it did not recognize the hard drive. So i associated it with windows and now my Xbox 360 will not recognize it.

I tried to rebuild it using a 2006, hackr 0.91 tutorial but that is outdate and does not work. Can some body please!!! point me in the right direction if possible because i searched for hour with no success.

the HDDhackr utility is not out of date and it definitely works... if you read the tutorial it clearly states it is only for western digital BEVS series drives... you can't just use some random drive you have lying around.

i don't believe there is any way to get a seagate drive working with the xbox 360

the seagate is the origanal drive that came with the Xbox360 20g hdd made from microsoft. I open it up and that was inside.

i think i see what youre saying-you formatted it on your pc and now the xbox doesnt recognize it. did you try to format it on the xbox?

Wouldn't help either because the Xbox simply doesn't recognize it anymore. The association with windows was about the worst thing he could do, now he has a 20 GB notebook harddrive that cannot be turned into an Xbox harddrive anymore.

PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

uturn68 your right. I didnt format it my xbox 360 hdd.The files are still on there it just xbox doesn't reconize it cause i went to computer-manage and i coverted it to gtr with a mbr or something like that.

well really it is no loss... 20gb is a tiny HDD anyways... and now you have a perfectly usable plastic shell. i'd go on ebay and search for a 120gb wd BEVS series drive.. prob run ya about $50 but its a huge upgrade from a 20 gigger

as far as getting the data off the 20gb HD i have no clue

I was think that Donald. I backed up Partion 3 so i can do the hackr 0.91 flash if i had to buy the Wd bev. I love this fourm answer are immediate. Thanks to all who replied
