I just recently got my system a mod chip. I spent the last two days learning how to burn games to my system (unsuccessfully). First i got the wrong DVDs then i finally got the right ones, the DVD-r DLs.I found this site and read this guys article http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/359114 which was helpful but i couldn't figure it out. I had downloaded a Halo 3 game and xbox 360 ss merger 1.6. I tryed putting the game in there and something popped up if i wanted to check the md5. I let it and it said error. It said it was xtreme or something like that so i figured i needed the ss.bin. I went and found one but it came up red in the merger program. At this point i got frustrated and gave up with that game. I tryed watching a bunch of tuts on yahoo and youtube but none of them seemed to help since i have a chipped box as opposed to a flashed firmware. Like i said im not really sure what im doing. i tryed searchin the forum and i didn't really find anything that helped

You should post more info, like what kind of chip you have and what kind of DVD's you're using. Also you should edit your post before a mod sees it since you can't talk about piracy.

BTW it's DVD+R DL's ... so if you really do have -R media then you still have the wrong ones.

Well if you can't get the chip to work just flash your drive. Its really easy in most cases.

well yeah the xbox mod chip works but i cant make cds. thats the problem i tryed a burned game from someone at work and i had no problem. Two things i thought could be the problem is the cd type and my drive? I posted above what my drive was (its a samsung) can it burn dvd+r dls? and also im using memorax cds i believe NOT verbatium so if that does make a difference and that is basicly the problem... ima b e so pissed i wasted my money on the wrong discs lol

Then can it be my drive? i posted the name above. Maybe im doing it wrong? Is the process of burning a disc different for a chip modded system? If so can i get a guide for that. If not then i have to be doing something wrong. I know a lot of people say memorax cds are no good. Yet there are some that say they're fine... perhaps certain dvd drives work better with mem? or well ill just get some verbatium discs after i get some extra cash

Steps you take to do it right:
Download ISO file
Run through ABGX360
Burn at 2.4 with imgburn

That's only if you have crappy discs like memorex, quality disks like Verbatims you can burn at 8x (they get least errors then). Also with these crappy disks (brand mentioned already) it might be that they don't work with your burner/RAM/mainboard combinaton.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Hard to believe that. I've used them on several xboxes and burners. Yes verbs are the best, but they are twice the money. Never heard of a disc not working with a certain ram and motherboard. Where did you come up with that one?
