I just downloaded the newest JungleFlasher version and after I followed the tutorial on installing the PortIO32, Jungle Flasher wouldn't open when I clicked on it... my computer kept locking up. Any idea what the problem could be?

Do you have .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed?
JF can't run without it...

I already had one version of Framework, but as I posted that I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the 3.5 SP1 version... downloading now, hopefully that'll work. Thanks!

You may just want to give the computer more time then usual to boot up. Because it is known for Windows to pause for a moment when booting up because there's a 360 drive connected. That, and like silentjub said, make sure you have the latest .NET Framework installed.

Yea, it was slower booting. I actually hadn't connected my 360 drive yet, I was in the process of installing everything and I was wanting to test my onboard SATA slots to see if I could use one of those instead of buying the PCI card... this is new to me so it's very possible it was operator error LoL

Ya you will actually need to have the drive connected, when the PC is off, and then boot up windows. Then just let the computer take its time, because I once just tried going into JF when the computer was up, and it would lock up on me, and I have a decent computer.

Is that the best way to see if my onboard SATA slots will work? Just plug it up and try it? Also, I know on some of the other flashing methods you kept the drive partially hooked to the 360. On this, can I just pull the drive completely out and connect it only to the computer with the SATA cable?

You will need to use the 360 to power the drive. You can't just have the SATA plugged in, because that's just for data. You will need some way of providing power to the drive, by either using a Connectivity Kit, or with the 360 Power.

Excellent, thanks for the info. So should I just power on the 360 and then power on my PC to begin?

Alright I'm still having trouble. Connected the 360 drive to the onboard sata to test it... I've upgraded to the newest .NET Framework and I have done the manual install of PortI032. When I click on JungleFlasher it just locks my computer up. I'm wondering if it's something in PortI032 because before I installed it, I could at least open JF
