DVD Drive Sticker

I know a lot of people talk about the warranty sticker behind the faceplate, but I have never hear anyone mention the sticker on the DVD drive that says "Warranty voided if seal damaged. I didn't think this was that big of a problem until I started to pick at it. I didn't cut it yet, but was curious about it.

they dont usually look for the sticker on the drive just the one under the faceplate. i have sent boxes back with out the sticker on the drive and had no problems.

they have to look at exterior sticker first and decide warranty on that. unless they have reason to look for tampering they wont. gotta keep in mind these repair centers companies like MS and sony and all the rest use are extremenly busy places and techs dont usually do more than required. I worked in a repair center for apple and IBM and they require techs to get so many units repaired in a set amount of time, im willing to bet MS is the same.

but that sticker is a pain and tears easy. almost impossible to get off clean and if you do it will take forever and be so much hassle you will wish you just cut it lol
