backup xbox 360 games will not work on console

I had no problems backing up my original xbox 360 games and playing them on my console, until backing up Wanted and wolverine x-men origins. When I place the back up game in my console, all I get is a big 360 on my screen, and play pause rewind etc. buttons. Can someone help please.

I do not know, it was done by a friend of a friend. Do I need to re-flash my x-box 360?

If it was done before the beginning of March 2009, then it has firmware lower than ix1.51. You will need ix1.51 or 1.6(when it is released) to play Wave 3 games.

Please forgive me for my lack of knowledge, If we are talking about my x-box 360 console then yes, it was done before March 2009. If that is what you are talking about, then do I need to re-flash my console? If so is it easy to do, or should I have someone else do it that knows what they are doing? Thanks for your help.

We all pretty much think flashing is easy. But if you aren't comfortable, then just get someone else to do it. But yes, you would need to reflash your console.
