Hi James, and welcome to AfterDawn.

What program are you using to check the integrity of the ISO? ABGX360?

If ABGX360 says it has failed with the CRC check, more than likely the ISO is corrupt. If in fact you are using ABGX360, could you please set the verbosity to high and then post the log in here please?

the iso will show as crc correct prior to burning, once the image is burned, it stops and tries the 20 retries and then fails crc on the disc i burned.

Have you been successful in the past with burning backups? If so, I would suggest getting the latest version of IMG Burn.

it is the newest version of imgburn, no i have not done any other 360 backups. yes they are verbatim, yes the flash is well as other backups work. i am wondering if its possible it might be the drive? it is a usb hp external drive. i cannot get a pioneer due to this being a laptop i use for burning. any other suggestions would be great. thank you.

Actually it could be your burner, I've heard some issues others also seem to have due to the burner. I have an external usb phillips beng drive, I've not had any problems.

Maybe it would be wise to invest in a different brand burner, some of the cheapest will work just as well.
