I found it on megaupload and when I loaded it in Jungleflasher it says BenQ IXtreme 1.6-12x-FINAL and its size is 256k
is there any chance this could be a fake even though JF says its iXtreme 1.6?

are you really that desperate to flash to 1.6 ??
#fw irc channel says it still isn't released... and even once it is ya should wait at least 24hrs to see if people run into trouble...

What does Jungle Flasher say the firmware is after you have loaded it in source or target?
Edit- whoops, I see you already loaded it in JF... sorry, been staring at the screen too long...

Oh i won't be using this version at all. I will only flash if I download from xbins. Which reminds me, what is going on with that anyway? lol. Oh well, I guess it will come out when it comes out.

Look everybody, I got iXtreme 1.71...

Decided to investigate the ix1.6 on megaupload. Definitely FAKE. Every thing in the hex editor of ix1.6 look the same in ix1.51. Found where they changed the name. Easy to do. So let's all just wait for the real release of ix1.6. :)

Don't think you can actually download it. I'm getting xbins close (invite only) but it's posted on the website. You having this issue?

I got mine on pothsprojects.com there is a link there to download. I would assume xbins will unlock it eventually.

I haven't done it yet. I will post back in around 30 min. I'm on campus controlling my computer at home. I've made the firmware and saved the CFW. JF didn't complain so I'll post back here soon.
