i have flashed a benq samsung and a liteon drive with the new ixtreme 1.6 firmware. benq and samsungs have correct firmware versions when loaded in jungleflasher 1.59. The Liteon drive however does not display a valid firmware version but based on the md5 it is also correct. just to confirm i flashed the liteon with the repack ixtreme 1.6 that i got from xbins.

The Samsung and Benq Show up in Windows when powered on with a half open tray to intitate 0800 mode. close the tray and drive detection in windows should now be visible. However I was not able to get the liteon drive to show up in windows.

I also Tried using xbox backup creator ver 2.8 to rip games it failed with the samsung and benq some error about the video patition is invalid i could not try it with the liteon as i could not get drive detection in windows for it.

does anyone else know how to rip a game without using xbox backup creator any other programs out there?

What type of S-ATA chipset are you using?

Just got to thinking, I know when the BenQ 0800 firmware was released, XBOX Back-up Creator had to be updated. Same thing might apply here. Ripping programs probably won't support the Lite-ON.

im using a via chipset it detects the drive and begins a rip after about 3% cpmpleter there is an error about an invalid partition

take this for what it's worth, on the xbox scene forums redline posted that they are working on a new update for XBC to support ripping with ixtreme 1.6 and your drive.
