I just installed a wiikey v1 on my moddable wii (a very early one). I'm running 3.4 and burnt both 1.2 and 1.9 config discs using infrarecorder at 6x speed on Sony DVD+R.

I can play originals fine but the config discs and my backups don't work, sometimes a get a black screen telling me to restart etc. some times the wii stays active and i just get an image of a disc with a '?' inside it.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am a complete novice modder and solderer etc.

1. Why don't you use imgburn like everyone else. Tried and proven.

2. Use good DVD-R media and burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the media. (i.e. Sony DVD+R is NOT cosidered GOOD media for Wii burns)

10 posts a week like yours. The answer is pretty much the same.
