Hi all,

I'm pretty new to this stuff and have tried to read through various threads, but am getting even further confused.

I have a backed up copy of Rock Band 2 loaded through Backup Loader 0.3 IOS249. The game loads perfectly and I can use a microphone or guitar, but can't connect my RB1 drum set. I'm aware that this is a known (and intentional) issue with the RB and GH games, but I understand that there's a workaround by installing cios37. (?)

I tried using the Soft-Chip CIOS installer to install IOS37 with IOS37 rev 7 dip as IOS232, but this returned an error (failed -1017)

Please help as I've approached my wits' end. Is there any hope?

On a related note, does anybody know of a well-written, complete guide to understanding IOSs and CIOSs and the various loaders. I have a reasonable knowledge of computer architecture and programming, but am having difficulty piecing together all of this information.
