I was flashing my xbox (which worked splendidly with the xtractor) and I was installing some fans to make sure I don't get the dreaded ROD on a xbox I modded (although I did get that warranty sticker off with a good ol' heat gun) and well the main wire for my XCM Core Cooler broke while I was trying to install it. It just came out of the plug.

Its the connective wire B.

Can I solder them directly onto the board where the black and red wires from the fan connect.

PS: That guy needs to cut his nails...seriously.

the only problem I think I could have with this is that I am not sure if it would still give power to the other fan and if I would also have to run a wire from the other fan.

In the pictures with the wires, which one in the picture is the one that broke? And when you say it came out of the plug, like one of the wires came loose, or what?

PS - What makes you think that it's not a chick installing the fans?

Connective wire B, the red wire came loose and isn't in the plug...any way I can reattach it to plug?

PS: Hmm never thought of that.

usually the wire has a piece of thin metal around the tip where it plugs into the plug. Is that on the wire, or is it inside the plug itself? Because if it's on the wire, you should just be able to just push it back in. If not, you could try to refit the wire, and then use some electrical tape or something to hold it from coming back out!

Still no dice. The damn thing just won't stay in no matter what I do. Should I just strip the damn thing and solder it onto fan 1. Then run a wire from the Fan 2 contacts over to the fan 1 contacts on the other fan. Or should I solder the wires onto the CNC1 contact points.

Wahooo it worked. I just stripped the wires and soldered them onto fan 1. It even powered the second fan.

Wow XCM has some great workmanship. They have the solder points right there in case the plug breaks....Not bad not bad at all.

I also got to try out my new modpro cordless iron cause' I didn't feel like bringing it down to my work bench, wow it's not bad at all. It heats up fast and its battery powered not bad for $20.
