I have been not using my Wii(PAL) for over a year or so and have not really followed any wii related news and now i was going intending to start play some once again. :)

I see there seems to be alot new system updates since i last time used my wii and would like to know if its safe to update to the most recent system update? At the moment when i try to go to the shop chanel i am told to update my system, was going to buy some VC stuff with the points i still have left.

Think the last time i updated it was when i had to instal the update from SMG.

I have:
- Wiikey (original)
- Wiikey 1.9s update installed
- Wii system is v. 3.1E

The new updates still have not had any effect on modchip function. Only homebrew.
