Okay i flashed my lite-on awhile back when 1.51 came out and it gave me some problems but i finally got it to work. Today i tryed to flash it to 1.6 and it just isnt working at all. I have all original keys problem is while flashing with jungleflasher it locked while writing bank 0. Now i tryed with dosflash and iprep but it tells me unknown flash chip when i try to flash the CFW. When i load windows and turn on the drive windows locks on me. If i turn on the computer n the drive windows locks on the loading screen. I dont know what else to try. Anyone got any ideas??? Thanx

Put the latest version of l-o-eras and dosflash 1.7 on your boot disk.

Boot to a dos prompt and type l-o-eras PORT
Keep trying until you get a status FF72
You may need to power cycle the drive then l-o-eras PORT (port ya know is your port number... D800 i.e.)

Once you get a FF72, power cycle the drive and run dosflash
follow instructions to write your 1.6fw

I had a similar problem, I would load up DOS flash and it would not even see my drive, l-o-eras it a few times and dosflash would then see my drive but not write (unknown chip!). If i ran it again after it would not see the drive and i'd have to l-o-eras again.

Tried loads of combinations of powering off and on and l-o-eras but it would always give me unknown chip or just not appear.

after reading up dosflash commands, I l-o-eras the drive until it displayed FF72 then ran the command "dosflash w 9800 0 a0 2 0 4 c:\light.bin 0"

Went though 2nd time after a bit of powering off and on of the drive, the strange thing was is that I have never had this problem using dosflash in the past. But alls well that ends well and i'm a happy 1.6 user :)

I went into jungleflash 1.59 and opened my original key and than opened the liteon1.6repack and hit manuel spoof and saved the firmware into my USB devce. Than I booted off the USB n used dosflash to flash it. Am I doing something wrong???
