Hi, Thanks for taking you time in helping me out.. here i go..

I have recently moved my ps3 from a decent tv to an older one. I have since then been having 1 problem... which stems out to more! :P

okay... firtly the xmb is black and white... i know its showing black and white and not because of time of day etc is because the psn thing is gray and when i highlight my game, its all black and white.

when i play call of duty, the game is fully in colour and when i press the ps3 button, the xmb is also in colour..

i played been experimenting with videos and all the mpegs are black and white but VC-1 types are in colour!! :S

I really dont know what is going on... ive been fiddling with the display settings etc and turned it on and off for the auto display thing but nothing seems to work.. :/



Any input much appreciated

EDIT:: also street fighter and battlefield BC is both black and white

they only thing i can think of is that if its a tv with component inputs u put the yellow av cable in one of the green component plugs, thats the only way i have gotten a ps3 or any other console to go black and white.........OR......it could be ur display settings

nope.. the thing is if it was cable related why would call of duty show in colour ingame and out. :s

maybe cod makes ps3 display settings change? possibility but ive fiddled with it for hours on end.. :/


can you think of anything else??

gran turismo demo is in colour too.. is it specific formats or something??
