Went to install the a750 in a friends house.
He has "The box" there already, i installed it for him last year. The old box didnt pick up as many channels as my house, but it did pick up some.
Now since most of the good channels are gone he only as a few left on the old box.

So i went to install the kryptview in his house earlier but its not picking up anything.
It just scans down saysing already exists up to number 7 then scans for a few seconds and says complete but it goes back to the blue screen, and no channels.

It doesnt make a difference weather the cable is plugged into to the back of the box are not its doing the same thing??

Any ideas?

He has one of the N*l boxes to receive his channels from them?
I dont have on of these at my house?
Would this have anything to do with it?

What area do you live in, and what area does your friend live in. Who is your provider/their provider?

Have you checked to make sure there are no splitters on the feed.

Whats the story with the new n*l cards?
Letters & texts advising to install them.
Will there be an impact on use of box?

you will have to do a factory default and rescan the box in again

also the software is nothing to do with downloading the tutorial on how to set the box up correctly

By tutorial i asume you mean the word doc in your sig?

Ive done the factory default setting etc.
I dissconnected the loop going into the kitchen,
I think he might have a loop going upstairs, but where his tv outlet is downstairs the Ntl incoming cable is directly behind it outside.

He told me at first it was satelite, but i looked on his roof and he only had one of them mesh areials, you only get rte 1 2 and tv3 via them am i right?

Its like the recevier isnt picking up the signal from the aerial, as it does the same when scanning for channels weather its plugged in or not.
From the time i press the green button to start the scan, its finished searching and installing in under a minute??

Well if he had Starview 2 'The Box' working he can't be chor*s mmds, so the krykptview should work on n*l mmds shouldn't it fergus?

What was the provider id you were using on his Starview, is it different to the one you use in your house?

He showed me his bill yesterday,

It has n*l/c*orus on the top, and u*c further down.
The "box" he has there now is still picking up channels Dave etc, but noy sly movies sports or setant 1 and 2.

He was never able to pick up as many channels as me even when we had all the channels, i live closer to the city centre then him so he must pick it up from a diffrent source then me.

let it scan and you will get a list of id then choose Ballina this time and press ok and see what happens

How do you mean easy instalation?
When i do the factory defualt settings, (menu- instalation- factory default) it goes back to a blue screen,

I usually just press the menu button and go through the instalation from there.

I think i tried it on chorus yesterday and it still didnt pick up anything??

He did say to me that it was via aerial alright.

So it def wont work?

Strange how the old box worked and the kryptview wont?

If i plug out my cable going to the kryptview box and go to scan for new channels, i get the same stuff coming up on my screen as i do in my friends house with his cable plugged in?

Does that mean he might have a weak signal in his house?
I am using a spliter box in my attic but i do have a booster installed aswell.
