Migrating from 20gb to 120, do you need resigning?

I migrated my 20gb data to a 120 and resigned everything.
everything worked good.

so I tried this again with my friends 20gb to a new 120gb.
everything worked fine on my system.
we bring it to his house and his main profile doesnt show as a choice.
any reason why this is or how to fix it?

how did you do the transfers?

if all the game data is there then don't worry too much about it as you can retrieve your profile from the net. if he doesn't have the net just take the hd to a house that does.

Hooked it up to my pcs sata and used xplorer360 extreme2.
I did it for myself and out of 5 profiles for some reason one wouldnt load either. I copied it 2x back over and then it worked.
I just find it weird that his profile shows up on my console but not his.
He tried a recover but said he got an error. But that could have been MS cuz when I recover my other friends tag to get dlc thats for gold members only (im silver), I often have errors so I still dont know if that would work properly yet.

Did you resign his game saves with the Console ID/Device ID from his original HDD?

When I resigned I left his console/profile ids the same, just resigned the deviceid.
I did find this in my travels,

my consoleid isnt on that list but sure enough this is what happens. I tried my old 20gb and my 120gb in a different 360, NO profiles or data showed up.
So I had to copy my friends backed up profile data again to his drive. which will show on his console.
saves wont load now so I gotta figure wtf is going on now
