Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I'm not sure what exactly to search for to find this particular answer.

Anyway I just got my Wii modded (DriveKey) and because my system firmware was 3.4e I had to go through the whole downgrade process just to get my USB Gecko homebrew to rip games. I've just backed up my Mario Kart Wii disk and when I put it in I'm told I need to perform a system update (I'm on 3.2e). If I update with Mario Kart and maybe Brawl too if I need to, will it render all my homebrew etc. obsolete now that I've gotten all the cIOS I need installed or is it safe to update now that I've done all this?

search for wii brick blocker it block's the updates use it on your nameofthegame.iso then burn your game
